This page is to publicise events taking place in and around the village, and also for notices of importance to people living in the area (these are publicised free of charge).

Kingston Village Hall, known as The Barn, is set in the centre of the rural village of Kingston. It is an old tithe barn given to the village by Canon Potts in the 1900's, and is now run by a board of Trustees. The Barn was refurbished in 2000 with money from the Millenium Fund, and is now a very popular venue for meetings, receptions of all kinds, seminars and children's parties. There are chairs and tables for 80 people for receptions and meetings, whilst a license is held for 100 people at events like dances etc.

If you would like to hire The Barn for your event you should contact Mrs Maureen Taylor who is a trustee and the booking clerk. Her telephone number is 01227 831738.

A vacancy exists on the Parish Council which the Council is permitted to fill by co-option.

Anyone interested in the possibility of serving as a Parish Councillor is invited to attend the next meeting on Monday 7th July at 7.30pm in The Barn. Geoff Macdonald, Chairman.
