The Black Robin public house was built 18th or early 19th century. It was named after the highwayman, Black Robin, who was eventually caught and hanged for his dastardly deeds.

I have not been able to find out much about Black Robin on the net, apart from an interesting story under The Walnut Tree Inn, Aldington If anyone knows more abour Black Robin, please let me know, and I will include it here. So keep an eye on this page.
